Pathos: The advertisement starts with a baby(Keith Keithson) being removed from an adoring nurse, the cute baby causes an emotional attachment to the character from the audience. The next scene is a young boy, (still Keith) receiving an awful haircut from a ceramic bowl, his sliced bangs and careless expression call the audience to cringe and feel sympathy for him at the same time. Ethos is the appeal to character. Ethos is what we try to get consumers to think about a brand, and what it stands for. Coke, for example, is though of as global, popular, and mostly, a feel-good brant. Its ethotic connection with consumers is largely built on it's logos and pathos.
